About ZAVA
We believe healthcare should be accessible, dependable and affordable for everyone. Now part of Hims & Hers Health, Inc., one of the fastest-growing digital health companies in the world, we’re entering an exciting new chapter as we expand our reach and accelerate our impact.
Our team of Doctors, Engineers, Patient Care Advisors, Pharmacists, Marketers, Product Managers, UX Designers, Commercial, and Operations Specialists work together to build digital healthcare that truly fits around our patients’ lives.
The pandemic changed how people access care, and we’ve led the way by providing over 14 million consultations across the UK, Germany, France, Spain, and Ireland. More patients than ever turn to us for help with weight loss and other conditions that can be safely treated online. We’re evolving our service to make care even more personal, supportive and effective.
We’re doing more than providing healthcare. We’re empowering people to take control of their health, and with the support of Hims & Hers, we’re scaling our vision to become a global leader in digital healthcare.
About the role
The Product Design Lead is a company-wide UX strategist, leading the day-to-day direction of our small design team. This role requires managerial, strategic, and hands-on design skills and experience.
The Product Design Lead has a track record of leading teams from the front, setting creative direction, and delivering end-to-end design work. They are a key contributor to creating exceptional user experiences across customer touchpoints and internal tools at ZAVA,spanning multiple countries and partners.
With a deep understanding of our doctors’ and patients’ needs and contexts, the Product Design Lead collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to articulate and translate those requirements into innovative design solutions. What you'll own
As Product Design Lead, you will be responsible for setting the design direction across key product areas, ensuring we deliver experiences that meet patient needs and business goals. You will lead and develop a team of Product Designers and a User Researcher, creating an environment where people can do their best work and grow their careers.
You will shape design strategy, translating business objectives, user needs and product vision into clear priorities. You will define how we approach problems, bring clarity to ambiguity, and ensure design is represented in strategic decision-making across the organisation.
You will oversee the end-to-end design process across multiple initiatives, guiding discovery, research, prioritisation and delivery, while remaining hands-on where needed; your focus will be on enabling the team to deliver high-quality outcomes and ensuring consistency across the patient journey.
Champion a patient-centred approach, ensuring research and user insight inform decision-making and that the right problems are being solved in the right way.
Collaborate closely with Product, Technology, Clinical, Commercial and Operations teams, building alignment, influencing direction and ensuring design solutions work for both patients and internal teams.
Develop and evolve our design practice by improving processes, raising quality standards, strengthening collaboration, and contributing to a culture that values learning, impact and continuous improvement.
Guide the creation of concepts, prototypes and final designs at the appropriate level of fidelity, maintaining a high standard of design quality and helping the team make effective design decisions.
